Transitions

Everyone faces challenges that might feel too big to manage on their own. Transitions into big schools can feel scary but when your child is part of our After-School Club we have some ways to make it feel easier.

In Year 6 you child can meet other children who are about the change schools too. We also bring people from local schools to The Winch so your child can meet someone from their new school before they go. We have workshops run by Year 7s for Year 6s which means they can hear a bit more about what secondary school is like from someone who is doing it right now.

For your child’s first day at school we can find someone to look out for them and help meeting people who are going to be at their school.
