Family Support Impact Data
We assess our impact to ensure we make a positive, lasting difference in the lives of the children, young people and families we support. We gather insight in a range of ways — including participant feedback, participation studies, outcomes data, community consultation and partnership learning.
One of the key ways we collect data is through our annual survey, stories and reports helping us understand experiences, track progress and identify where we can improve. This ongoing learning helps us tailor our programmes and ensure our work creates meaningful and lasting change.

Parent to Parent Programme Evaluation with Anna Freud Centre 2025
This report presents findings from a participant-led evaluation of the Winch’s Parent-to-Parent programme, a peer-supported parenting course for families facing significant disadvantage in North Camden, produced in partnership with the Anna Freud Centre.

This report presents findings from the Winch’s 2026 Family Support Survey, based on 56 responses from families using Stay & Play, the Parent to Parent programme, and other early years services delivered by the Winch.
Stories
Abigail’s story
Abigail is a mother facing trauma, isolation, and her daughter’s complex medical needs. With little emotional support, she struggled alone. Her story highlights the need for community services to prioritise connection and skilled support. The Winch’s parenting course offered confidence, solidarity, and a safe space.
Fola’s story
Fola moved to the UK with her young son, facing uncertainty and balancing childcare with job searching. Through our support and parenting workshops, she pursued her dream of nursing, and now lives independently.
Ammara’s story
Ammara moved from Pakistan seeking better opportunities but faced isolation, language barriers, and cultural challenges. Through our support, classes, and community groups, she built confidence, pursued education in childcare, and now aspires to run her own nursery.
