Children

At the Winch, we provide safe, welcoming spaces for children aged 4 to 11 to play, learn and grow outside the classroom.

Our affordable childcare makes a real difference for local families, especially for those who might otherwise struggle to access it.

For children, it’s a chance to put their screens aside, build friendships, try new things, and develop confidence.

For parents, it offers peace of mind knowing their child is supported by qualified, caring play staff.

Children’s services we offer:

After school club

Fun, play and relaxation after a busy day.

Holiday play scheme

Adventures throughout the school breaks.

Transition

Support for children as they move on to the next stage of school.

Families

Family matters. Parents and carers can visit us to connect and get advice, or drop in to enjoy playtime with their children. We also support families living in temporary accommodation, offering safe spaces and activities that ease the pressure and bring moments of joy.

Children

We provide safe and fun activities for primary school children, from after-school clubs to holiday play schemes. These programmes help children build confidence, make friends, and develop the skills they need as they grow.

Young People

Our youth programmes give young people the space to be themselves, try new things, and support each other. We help them build confidence, explore opportunities, and shape the futures they want.

Communities

We believe in the power of community-led change. Our projects bring people together to take action, strengthen connections, and make their local area a better place for everyone.

Belsize Community Library
