Help Keep Our Library Open
When The Winch took over the Belsize Community Library, they took over the costs of running it too. While there was funding from Camden Council to help during the changeover, that money is almost gone. We need to continually fundraise to cover the costs of keeping the library open and in a good condition. As The Winch is a local charity, this is not easy. The library is only open today because of the passionate support of local people and the generosity of donors and trusts.
The Winch’s offices are nearby in Winchester Road and, as a charity, we rely on your support. The Belsize Community Library has become an important, welcoming space for connecting local people who might otherwise be isolated, need access to books and computers or a place to learn new skills and explore their potential. Make a one-off or regular donation today to fund staff, heating bills etc and help to keep The Belsize Community Library open now and for future generations:
One-off library donation
Direct debit library donation
We rely on the generosity of volunteers to run our library. If you would like to join the team please pop by to speak to the library manager. You might be volunteering for work experience or just to give some time to this lovely place. Either way, you’ll meet new people and it’s a wonderful way to connect to your neighbours and help us to stay open.
We owe a huge thank you to the Friends of Belsize Library, who give us ongoing support and offer monthly author talks. To see when you can come to one of their events, check out our calendar. If you want to be more involved with the Friends of Belsize Library you can visit the website.
“My heart was full of love today, just meeting so many nice people. The contribution of volunteers was huge.”
