Our new logo came out of conversations with everyone at the Winch and pro bono work from Blackburns Designs.
The winChangers agenda has explored development and renewal in many areas at the Winch. Whilst the building refurbishment programme is an obvious example of change, we have been keen to include everything involved in the running of the Winch:
- Brand & Communications
- Building
- Finance
- Governance
- Social Enterprise
- Work/Services
In these areas, we have been indebted to individuals and businesses who have offered their expertise and resources to challenge our thinking and help us articulate our mission. In particular, we would like to thank Blackburn’s Design, The Glass House, Brian Kelsey & Co. Ltd., Inside Work, Youth Mark, Arthur Potts Dawson as well as the many volunteers who have offered time on an individual and freelance basis.
The ethic of winChangers is that we should continue to question and improve the work we do and the different areas of the charity. For example, the process of developing our logo provided many opportunities to discuss and reflect on our work. The new Board & Governance structure we’ve implemented has created capacity for a whole raft of new people to offer themselves and learn new skills.
